Accessibility @ the CDSBEO

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 calls on businesses and organizations - like the CDSBEO - to develop, implement, and enforce mandatory accessibility standards.

Accessibility standards are the rules that businesses and organizations in Ontario will have to follow to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility.

CDSBEO’s policies, practices, procedures, and various training records are available, and can be provided in an accessible format, upon request.

We welcome your comments and feedback about accessibility issues at the CDSBEO. If you have comments or suggestions, please write to us at accessibility@cdsbeo.on.ca

Disruption of Service

The CDSBEO is committed to informing you if there is a disruption of any areas of a school or Board office that affects accessibility. Before visiting a school or Board office, you may want to visit this site or the school's site, to find out if there are any disruptions of service and what the alternative options are.

Customer Service

The standards for Customer Service have been developed and approved and compliance is required by January 2010.  All staff at the CDSBEO have been trained in the provision of goods and services to persons with disabilities.

As additional Standards are developed and approved, they will be posted here.
