Secondary Curriculum


The Curriculum Department provides a range of individual, small group, and large group support to secondary teachers including:

• general and discipline-specific curriculum support;
• centralized and school-based professional development for topics such as:
  • revisions to Ministry of Education curricula;
  • integration of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum, and;
  • assessment, evaluation and reporting.
• maintenance of board and school-subject representative networks;
• targeted professional development to meet needs of beginning secondary teachers including optional mentoring by experienced teacher;
• resource sharing;
• professional growth and leadership opportunities for teacher-presenters at various workshops;
• sponsorship for attendance at annual EOSDN Secondary Conference and EOCCC Subject Forum.
