Ms. Sarah Jaynes leads her session for special needs students at Hanley Hall in Smiths Falls
Without Exception: Exceptional Art from Beautiful Minds is an artistic workshop workshop for special needs students. The workshop was created by Ms. Sarah Jaynes, Visual Arts Teacher at Notre Dame CHS in Carleton Place. Students from several CDSBEO secondary schools come together to learn about colour theory and to create magnificent works of art.
"Over the years I have had the distinct pleasure of working with many different students. I have come to appreciate the positive benefit that an arts education can have on any student. I have also come to understand and appreciate the unique talents that my exceptional students bring to the classroom. I believe that the arts are essential to a well-rounded life. We live, experience, and process our lives through art. The arts are a filter through which we see the world."
