"Where
every child learns to succeed!"

the teachings of Christ we promote a learning environment that
fosters faith, hope, peace, patience and understanding.

God, we know that
you are there ready to help us find shalom within ourselves and guide
us in creating shalom within our communities.
Dear Lord, be in
our eyes, so we may see the invisible and downtrodden and recognize
the worth and dignity of each life that surrounds us.
We ask this through
Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Dear Parents/Guardians:
I would like
to take this opportunity to inform you that Mrs. Mary-Ann Jeaurond,
our office administrator, has taken another position at Bishop
Macdonell Catholic School here in Cornwall. There has been a shuffle
of secretarial positions which has led to this change. Ms. Mary-Ann
has been a tremendous help to all staff, students and parents
at Sacred Heart Catholic School over the past eight years.
I would like
to take this time to wish Mrs. Mary-Ann all the best at her new
school, and to thank her for her many years of dedicated support
to the Sacred Heart Catholic School community. You will certainly
be missed!
Mrs. Mary-Ann
will be replaced by Mrs. Micheline Baker from St. Peter. I trust
that you will welcome Mrs. Baker to Sacred Heart Catholic School
as she settles into her new school.
Yours
in Catholic Education,
Shannon McDougald

Immersion!
If

or access the site online at http://fslhomeworktoolbox.ca/
Our
preliminary application for EcoSchools certification was
completed before the end of January, and we are well on
our way to another year worthy of celebration.
In order to be an Ethical leader in our homes, please consider
your curbside waste. If you find it challenging to rinse
containers before recycling them, then discuss this as a
family and assign roles for sharing the duty of being Responsible
members of our society. If reusing lunch containers is difficult,
think about the Environmental and financial impact that
buying prepackaged food has on yourself and your society.
When shopping for groceries at a supermarket, a general
rule of thumb to keep in mind is to buy products from the
outside walls of the store. Often what we find down the
middle aisles is manufactured food rather than the wholesome
goodness that has been given to us by God.
May God continue to bless us all in our efforts to Grow Responsible, Ethical, and Environmental Neighbours (GREEN).
