Our grade 6 spiritual retreat will take place at
St. Joseph's Oratory this year on November 2nd.
On a scheduled basis, Father Tim McCauley will
visit our school to talk to the children and participate in religious
celebrations. One very important aspect of the Religious Education Program
involves assisting parents in preparing their children for receiving the
Sacraments. Grade 2 students will prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation,
The Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. It is necessary to have a copy of the
child's Baptism Certificate in order to receive these Sacraments. This is
important, since a notation of receiving these sacraments must be added to the
original Baptism record. If you should have any questions regarding our
school/parish religious preparation, please feel free to contact the school at
445-3788 or the parish at 445-3054.

At M.T.C.S., we are Children of God
Transforming the World. Our faith permeates all that we do. We, like Mother
Teresa, have "Hearts to Love and Hands to Serve." Some of the ways in which we
serve our community are the following programs:
The Love Train:
Every Christmas the families and students at Mother Teresa work together to
gather food for needy families. The children lovingly refer to this gathering of
food as creating a "Love Train." This year they collected enough food to create
food baskets for numerous families. Not only do the families receive food
baskets, but they also receive a large turkey for their Christmas meal. Way to
go, MTCS.

Angel Tree:
At Mother Teresa, we are very aware that not all the families in our community
are able to have wonderful presents under the Christmas Tree. So many caring
students and families at MTCS select names from an Angel Tree and buy presents
to give to those children in our community, so that every child can open a
present at Christmas. Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
