The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) extends an invitation to all parents next Wednesday, April 19, to help connect, inspire, facilitate and empower children to become resilient and succeed.
Gain an understanding of what we are doing in our schools to promote resiliency and well-being and how families, schools and community agencies can work together to support children and youth.
The evening will include four workshops for attendees to choose from:
- Building Trust and Growth Mindset: So All Kids Can Succeed

- Teachers, Psych Staff, Navigating Agencies: Getting the Help You Need
- Recognizing Anxiety: What To Do and Not To Do
Booths and displays will be open at 5:30 p.m., along with a light dinner.
Over 25 agencies and organizations will be in attendance with booths and personnel for parents and staff to speak with.
Free resources will also be available for attendees, and schools. Prize draws will also take place, including a draw for an iPad mini!
