CDSBEO and other Ontario school boards, along with partner communities, are developing a Kanien’kéha (Mohawk Language) Circle for the purpose of endorsing presently knowledgeable, culturally and linguistically strong Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) individuals to teach the Kanien’kéha Language within Ontario schools. This pilot project will help identify suitable teacher candidates who will be certified as teachers of the Kanien’kéha language by the Ontario College of Teachers.
