CDSBEO Catholic Education Week Mass 2025

On May 5th, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario came together in faith and community at St. Peter’s Parish in Cornwall to celebrate the annual Catholic Education Week Mass, hosted by St. Peter Catholic School. This special event brought together trustees, administration, staff, and students for a meaningful time of prayer and reflection.

The Eucharistic Celebration was led by Most Reverend Marcel Damphousse, Archbishop of Ottawa-Cornwall, and opened with a warm welcome from Celine Langevin, Principal of St. Peter Catholic School, followed by greetings from CDSBEO Vice-Chair Karen McAllister, and Director of Education Laurie Corrigan. Students from St. Peter participated in the Mass by leading the readings.

We are grateful to Gilles Levac and the St. Joseph’s Catholic High School Intermediate Choir for providing beautiful music throughout the Mass, and to St. Peter Catholic School for welcoming guests at the luncheon, with a heartwarming performance by elementary students.

Our sincere thanks to the parish priests who joined us, and to everyone who participated in this celebration. Your ongoing support and commitment to Catholic education are truly appreciated and continue to inspire our faith-filled work together.
