On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 244 students from 14 schools across CDSBEO and UCDSB came together at St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School for the 4th Eastern Ontario Math League Elementary Tournament.

Held in the large gym at St. Joseph’s CSS, 45 teams took part in a variety of math events including sprint and relay challenges, as well as an individual Jeopardy-styled lightning round. 

Thank you to Mitchel Zappitelli (SJCSS Math Department Head) for hosting the event, and to Anne Leach (Principal of Mathematics) and the CDSBEO Math team for their support. A big thank you also goes to the Grades 9 to 12 students from St. Joseph’s CSS who helped with data entry, distributing materials, set up and clean up.
