Today, on October 21, we celebrate Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Day, a time to recognize the incredible dedication of those who nurture, guide, and inspire our youngest learners. 

At the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, we are proud to highlight Bev Hope, CDSBEO Early Childhood Educator, who plays an integral role in the kindergarten wing at St. Mark Catholic School. Bev helps children learn and grow while ensuring they feel safe, supported, and valued. She plans hands-on activities to engage students and guide them to develop a lifelong love of learning. 

Her students often seek her out long after they leave kindergarten, a testament to the strong connections she builds with every child who enters her class. 

When asked what being an educator means to her, Bev shared: 

“Being an educator means helping students discover their strengths, nurturing their curiosity and celebrating every little step of their growth.”
