February/March EQAO Webinar Sessions for Parents and Guardians

Families are invited to take part in a series of free EQAO webinars designed to help parents and guardians better understand how student learning is assessed in Ontario. Led by EQAO staff, these live sessions explain what assessment questions look like, what skills they measure, and how families can support learning at home. Each webinar is tailored to a specific grade level or subject area.

EQAO Math Session for Parents/Guardians of Grade 9 Students

February 12, 2026 | 12:00–1:00 p.m.

This session focuses on the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics. Families will learn about the types of questions students encounter and the math skills being assessed.

February 24, 2026 | 6:00–7:00 p.m.

This evening session provides an overview of math questions from Ontario’s large-scale assessments in Grades 3, 6, and 9. Families will gain insight into how these questions reflect classroom learning and how assessment results can support student success.

EQAO Literacy Session for Families: Focus on Reading

March 4, 2026 | 12:00–1:00 p.m.

This webinar highlights how reading skills are assessed in the primary and junior divisions, as well as through the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Families will learn how reading passages and questions measure student learning.
