On May 4, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario gathered at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Brockville to celebrate the annual Catholic Education Week Mass, hosted by St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. This event brought together trustees, administration, staff, and students from participating Brockville area schools for a time of prayer and reflection.

The Eucharistic Celebration was led by Most Reverend Michael Mulhall, Archbishop of Kingston. The Mass began with a welcome from Karlene Elliot, Principal of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, followed by greetings from CDSBEO Chair Chris Cummings and Director of Education Shelley Montgomery.

Students from St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, St. John Bosco Catholic School, and J.L. Jordan Catholic School participated by leading the readings.

Thank you to Diane Wooller and the St. Mary Catholic High School Choir for providing music throughout the Mass, and to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School for hosting the luncheon, which included a heartwarming performance by kindergarten students.
