On Thursday, May 21, the CDSBEO held its final Indigenous Education Council Meeting of the 2025–2026 school year. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the year’s accomplishments in Indigenous Education and continue important conversations focused on learning, collaboration, and growth. 

During the meeting, CDSBEO educators shared Indigenous Education initiatives taking place within their schools. Presenters included: 

• Michelle Goss (St. Mary Catholic School, Chesterville)
• Louise Leclair (St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School) 
• Rhonda Tough (St. John Paul II Catholic School) 
• Caterina Pettinella (Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School) 
• Kaitlyn Whitney (St. Mark Catholic School) 

Each educator highlighted how their Indigenous Education initiatives were supported through collaboration with Indigenous Community Partners, recognizing the importance of ongoing partnership and shared learning in this work. 

The CDSBEO Indigenous Education Team extends its thanks to everyone who attended and looks forward to continued collaboration in the 2026–2027 school year.
