St. Michael CHS Outdoor Education Students Complete Frontenac Park Expedition

Students in the Outdoor Education program at St. Michael Catholic High School recently completed a three-day backcountry camping trip at Frontenac Provincial Park.
Accompanied by teachers Mr. Wesley Campeau, Ms. Van Gaal, and Mr. Souter, students travelled by canoe through several of the park’s lakes, carrying their equipment along portage routes and camping at remote sites throughout the expedition.

The experience gave students the opportunity to develop practical outdoor skills, including canoeing, camp setup, meal preparation, navigation, and backcountry travel. It also encouraged teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and appreciation for the natural environment.

Outdoor Education provides students with valuable hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom and help build confidence, responsibility, and independence.
The CDSBEO congratulates the students on completing the expedition and thanks the staff who organized and supervised the trip.
