On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, approximately 150 students from nine schools across eastern Ontario, representing both CDSBEO and UCDSB, came together for this year’s Grade 7/8 Math League Tournament. 

Held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School, 25 teams took part in a variety of math challenges, including sprint and relay events, as well as an individual Jeopardy-style lightning round. 

Thank you to Mitchel Zappitelli (SJCSS Math Department Head) for hosting the event, along with Math Consultant Judy Legault and the CDSBEO Math team for their support. A big thank you also goes to the Grades 9 to 12 Mathletes from St. Joseph’s CSS who assisted with data entry, distributing materials, and helping to organize a successful event.
