April 2024 PA Day Date Change
On April 8, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, all regions of the Board will experience a total solar eclipse, causing diminished levels of daylight as it progresses to nearly complete darkness during regular school dismissal time.
This is a very rare solar event for our area, and maintaining a regular school day will present challenges and safety concerns for staff and students in our schools.
Based on these concerns, the Board has decided to reschedule the April Professional Activity (PA) Day scheduled for Friday, April 26, to Monday, April 8, 2024. We hope this change will minimize disruption to families, school teams, and transportation services.
