Celebrating World Teachers’ Day!

On October 5, people across the world come together to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a special day to recognize the dedication and commitment of all teachers in our schools and communities.
At the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, we are proud to highlight Mrs. Candace Seguin, a CDSBEO teacher from St. Finnan’s Catholic School who brings care, commitment, and faith to her Grade 1, 2, and 3 students each day. Mrs. Seguin works tirelessly to meet the individual needs of every child, ensuring they feel supported and inspired in their learning.
As a Catholic educator, Mrs. Seguin integrates faith, kindness, and values into her teaching, helping students grow not only in knowledge but also in character. Beyond the classroom, she serves as her school’s Faith Ambassador, sharing her leadership and spirit with the entire community.
On this World Teachers’ Day, we are reminded of the words of St. Francis of Assisi:
“While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to have it even more fully in your heart.”
We thank Mrs. Seguin and all CDSBEO teachers for their dedication and commitment to Catholic education.
