All student transportation is cancelled and CDSBEO schools and offices will be closed for tomorrow, Thursday, February 13, 2025. Students and staff should remain home. This decision has been made based on the forecasted storm which is predicted to bring a mix of heavy snow, blowing snow, and poor visibility to the region. These conditions have the potential to prevent us from opening schools if they cannot be accessed safely by staff of the school board. Additionally, various municipalities have indicated they may have trouble with snow removal operations, thereby affecting safe travel for our students, staff, and families. While our practice is to keep schools open on inclement weather days, given the expected effect on operations of this highly impactful winter storm, we do not want to put our students, families, and staff at risk.
