Recap: 6th Eastern Ontario Math League Senior Tournament
On Friday, April 19, 2024, St. Michael CHS in Kemptville was filled with excitement as the 6th Eastern Ontario Math League Senior Tournament kicked off.
Students from grades 11 and 12 gathered to put their math skills to the test in a series of challenges designed to foster teamwork and individual growth. From the Individual Round to the Team Round, participants showcased their problem-solving abilities and collaboration.

Individual Round
- 1st Place: Sam Torres from Brockville Collegiate Institute (BCI)
- 2nd Place: Ryan Davis from Notre Dame CHS
- 3rd Place: Gavin Buell from St. Michael CHS
Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to the individual round winners.
Team Round
- 1st Place: Brockville Collegiate Institute Team #1 (Teacher: Jay Wright)
- 2nd Place: St. Joseph CSS Team #1 (Teachers: Dan Lapierre and Mitch Zappitelli)
- 3rd Place: Notre Dame CHS Team #1 (Teacher: Kate Turner)
Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to the team round winners.
Adding to the fun were the creative team uniforms and T-shirts, with St. Joseph CSS earning the title of “Best Dressed” with their Star Wars-themed math attire.
