School Bus Safety Week is here! For many young students, riding the school bus is part of the excitement of going to school. It’s often one of the first steps toward independence, but it can also bring some uncertainty for both students and families. 

To help make this experience fun and safe, the Ministry of Education has created a new digital storybook called “The School Bus is Here!” This engaging, colourful story is designed for children aged 6–7 and helps them learn what to expect when riding the school bus, from waiting at the stop and finding a seat to understanding important safety rules. 

Families can read “The School Bus is Here!” together to build confidence and promote safe travel to and from school.
