The annual Welcome Back celebration is a cherished tradition at CDSBEO. It marks the beginning of a new school year and offers staff the opportunity to come together in prayer and reflection and renew their commitment to the mission and values of the board.

On Tuesday, August 11th, staff from across the board gathered at St. Michael Catholic High School for this year’s celebration. The morning began with greetings from Board Chair Christ Cummings and Director of Education Shelley Montgomery, followed by Mass celebrated by Archbishop Marcel Damphousse of the Ottawa-Cornwall Archdiocese, Board Faith Animator Fr. John Whyte, and concelebrants.

New CDSBEO employees received a special blessing and their official board pin. The morning concluded with lunch, providing a wonderful opportunity for staff to reconnect and enjoy time together after the summer break.
